Carmona Movement for the Feminization of Private Law at the University of Deusto

On September 19th and 20th 2019, a new edition of the Carmona Movement for the Feminization of Private Law was held at the University of Deusto. This movement was born in 2009, promoted by several professors of Civil Law in the city of Carmona.

During these sessions, different topics were addressed, such as the evolution of the legal system itself, applying criteria of transversality; leadership, employment and innovation in the economy from an increasingly complex perspective; and, finally, international and European Union strategies to promote equality and the fight against discrimination, gender violence, harassment and victim protection.

This congress is hosted by the University’s Faculty of Law, the EDISPe Research Team (Social Development, Economy and Social Innovation for People) whose main researcher is Professor and researcher Aitziber Mugarra, and the Jean Monnet de Deusto Chair directed by Professor Laura Gómez.
