The University of Deusto hosts the international training course “Implementing a national research impact strategy” in collaboration with AESIS

The University of Deusto has hosted the international training course “Implementing a National Research Impact Strategy” in collaboration with Advancing & Evaluating the Societal Impact Strategy (AESIS) network. The course has been organised in the context of Deusto’s Master Plan “Social Impact of Research” and has taken place on 3 to 5 April 2019 in Bilbao. The aim of the training course has been to provide insights on how to set up a research strategy in such a way that it strengthens its societal impact. The European Union perspective and social impact at EU level have been key issues of the course. 

Experts from different countries leading the innovation in research funding approaches have shared their experiences. Among them, professor from Brunel University, Leiden university, King’s College, York University, among others. Likewise, representatives of Ministries (Spanish, Polish…) and public or private agencies promoting social impact of research (as the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance or the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development). The Jean Monnet EUCLIPE Chair has been one of the participants of the University of Deusto.
