Position: Programme Officer
Faculty or Centre: Faculty of Social and Human Sciences – Instituto de Estudios de Ocio
Department: Office of World Leisure Association (hereinafter World Leisure).
Duties:
As part of the Faculty’s staff structure, and particularly of the Institute of Leisure Studies, the selected candidate will be responsible for building relationships with strategic partners for policy and programme, securing project funding, managing funding agreements and monitoring contracts:
- Building relationships and representation: Identify and build relationships with strategic institutional partners and key contacts for the organisation. Represent World Leisure at relevant networks, workshops, seminars and policy events. Develop ideas and projects for formal collaboration with agencies and institutions. Develop cooperation with affiliate organisations and the different international chapters of World Leisure.
- Project funding and management: Identify emerging opportunities through the institutional funding strategy and action plan. Contribute to the design and development of project proposals. Draft technical and financial proposals to secure funding and manage associate consultant contributions.
- Contract management and reporting: Manage contracts with institutional funders in cooperation with WL’s partners. Manage and coordinate reporting to meet institutional reporting requirements. Coordinate the programme portfolio (key performance indicators, performance, contributions and impact in line with strategy…).
- Supporting information and communication needs: Share information about programme portfolio and projects in progress. Develop programme policies. Liaise with WL’s scientific coordinator to promote WL’s research, policies and programmes.

Requirements:
- A higher education degree, particularly in the project management area.
- 3 years’ experience in positions related to project monitoring and management in an international context.
- Willing to travel.
- Training in project management will be an advantage.
- We seek a candidate with proficiency in English, as it will be used in his/her daily work. A knowledge of Basque and/or Spanish will be an asset.
- Skills related to the position: operational autonomy, planning and organisational skills, leadership and communication and interrelation skills.
- Available to start immediately.

Position: Events and Communication Officer

Department: Office of World Leisure Association (hereinafter World Leisure).
Duties:
As part of the Faculty’s staff structure, and particularly of the Institute of Leisure Studies, the selected candidate will be responsible for the design and development of the communication activities and events of the office. Other additional duties include:
Communication duties:
- Manage and maintain World Leisure’s website and social networks.
- Manage the databases of the organisation.
- Produce newsletters, press releases, etc.
- Design and develop communication materials: leaflets, brochures, booklets, save the dates, presentations, etc., both internal and external.
- Responsible for the graphic design and branding coherence in communication and event materials.
- Produce and edit videos for World Leisure’s social networks.
- Ensure the preparation of narrative and communication reports.
Events duties:
- Organize and coordinate the initiatives, activities and events and ensure they meet targets, budgets and deadlines.
- Ensure timely preparation of information and other materials for the implementation of project activities/events.
- Maintain effective and ongoing communication with individuals and groups related to the activities and events.
- Monitor and ensure the financial management of activities and events.
- Work in conjunction with World Leisure’s COO to prepare financial reports and activities for funders.

Requirements:
- A higher education degree, particularly in the events communication and management area.
- Professional experience in duties related to the position.
- We seek a candidate with proficiency in English, as it will be used in his/her daily work. A knowledge of Basque and/or Spanish will be an asset.
- Skills related to the position: good communication skills, both written and interpersonal skills. We seek a person with initiative, operational autonomy and a drive to carry out activities and events. Candidates must also have excellent teamwork skills and an orientation to service.

2014CSH003 – Administrative Accounting Assistant

Position: Administrative Accounting Assistant
Faculty or Centre: Faculty of Social and Human Sciences – Instituto de Estudios de Ocio
Department: Office of World Leisure Association (hereinafter World Leisure).
Duties:
As part of the Faculty’s staff structure, and particularly of the Institute of Leisure Studies, the selected candidate will be responsible for acting as support for the accounting department (treasury) of World Leisure. Other additional duties include:
- Development of the daily administrative and accounting tasks of the office: administering World Leisure’s partnership fees, preparing checks, creating budgets, calculating billing statements, preparing and submitting tax forms, coding documents, compiling financial records and managing inventory records.
- The daily activities of an accounting administrative assistant may include answering the telephone, filing, faxing, assisting visitors, managing appointments and managing the daily office schedule.
- Working on special projects and events.
