Let us introduce Magdalena Foltyn, Erasmu<\/em>s exchange student<\/em>. As part of her academic stay during the second semester of the year 19-20, Magdalena took part in the Spanish language courses at the International Spanish Center – CIDE<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normally I\u2019m studying in Krak\u00f3w but over one year ago I applied for Erasmus exchange. I decided to study at Deusto because I wanted to stay in a completely new surrounding and learn Spanish<\/strong>. I could choose other places in Spain but some of my colleagues from my home university told me that Bilbao was a great spot and they recommended it to me. I arrived in Bilbao in January, two weeks before the regular classes had begun. Spain welcomed me with cold and rainy weather. I decided to come earlier to take part in intensive Spanish course and to get know the city a little bit to not be confused.<\/strong> I was exploring Bilbao, attending classes and drinking coffee in cafeteria at the university with my just known, new friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve graduated in Tourism so that I\u2019m keen on travelling. It was my second time in Spain but first in the north part and I would say I loved this place at once! All those green areas, mountains and blossoming tress impressed me and made me feel welcome.<\/strong> During those two months I spent there I saw a few places, but at the top of my list there is Mount Artxanda. I enjoyed breathtaking sunsets seeing from that point and picturesque landscapes of Bizkaia. I was also a member of Happy Erasmus<\/a> organization and ESN<\/a>. Thanks to them, I visited Urederra<\/a>, Pamplona<\/a>, San Sebastian<\/a> and Biarritz<\/a>. I appreciate that people who create these networks are ready to help in any situation, especially during that demanding time due to coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, just one month after starting my studies at Deusto <\/a>pandemic of covid-19 broke out. I left Bilbao but I don\u2019t regret any day I spent there<\/strong> and I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll be back to make all undone things up. I recommend such experience for all students – you\u2019ll see many things from different perspectives.<\/strong> I can say it was worth all my effort and let me discovered my favorite place in Spain!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
