GALO BILBAO ALBERDI holds a BA in Philosophy and Theology and a PhD in Theology from the University of Deusto. He is currently Lecturer at the University of Deusto, where he teaches at the Bilbao campus, and is a member of its Centre of Applied Ethics. He teaches different BSc courses in Engineering, specifically the subject Professional Ethics, and at the School of Religious Sciences, where he teaches the subjects Fundamental Morals and Social Morals and also MA courses in Ethics for Social Construction, specifically the subject Ethics and Cultural Problems. His publications mainly focus on social and political ethics. In recent years he has been working on education for peace, especially in terms of the Basque troubles and their victims.He forms part of the Ethics Applied to Social Reality research team, recognised as Category B within the Basque research system (2010 call). Other areas of research interest are professional and techno-scientific ethics.
