Hello, my name is Sophie Ahava and I studied abroad in Bilbao Spain during the Summer of 2019. Not only was I able to take classes at the University of Deusto, but I also got to travel around Spain and I met friends for life. I have always loved to travel and I have been all over the world from Belize to Israel, and my trip to Bilbao, Spain has still been one of my favorite experiences to date. I was able to practice my Spanish, experience new cultures, visit new and exciting places, and meet some of my best friends.
I met the best of friends during my study abroad trip and got exposed to new cultures and experiences. Some of the people I met on this trip are people that will continue to be a part of my life for years to come and it is amazing that we share this common experience. We plan to go back to Bilbao in a few years to visit!
Bilbao has been one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I can’t wait to go back and visit. The experiences I had on my study abroad trip are memories I will be holding with me forever. The friends I met and places we traveled to are something I can’t put a value to, it was all really special.
